State of Texas Archives: on Jobs
Greg Abbott:
No state deductions of union dues on paychecks
We should end the practice of government deducting union dues from the paychecks of employees. Taxpayer money shouldn't be used to support the collection of union dues.
Sen. Huffman and Rep. Sarah Davis have a good bill that addresses this problem. Let's get it to my desk.

Donald Trump:
I'm the only one on this stage who's hired people
RUBIO: Donald, you've hired a significant number of people from other countries to take jobs that Americans could have filled. You have brought over a thousand people from all over the world to fill maid jobs. TRUMP: As far as the people I've hired in
Florida during the prime season, you could not get help. People didn't want to have part-time jobs. There were part-time jobs, very seasonal, 90-day jobs, 120-day jobs. I'm the only one on the stage that's hired people. You haven't hired anybody.

David Alameel:
End tax breaks for sending jobs overseas
The super-rich and mega-corporations have rigged the system in their favor. They are pulling the strings of puppet politicians like John Cornyn and other Washington Republicans in favor of Wall Street--not hardworking Texas families.
We need to stop sending politicians to Washington who care more about the bottom line of CEOs on Wall Street than working families in Texas.
As Senator, David Alameel will advocate for:- Forcing big corporations and Wall Street executives to pay their fair share in taxes.
- Creating good paying jobs in Texas that can't be shipped overseas.
- Taking big banks to court when they ruin
our economy, not giving them another bailout.
- Ending tax breaks for corporations that ship American jobs to places like China and India.
- Extending unemployment insurance benefits to the long-term unemployed

Tom Leppert:
I have created thousands of jobs; we need that in DC
Tom Leppert, a former Dallas Mayor and career business executive, said Texas should not send a career politician or a government lawyer to Washington, but instead choose an experienced businessman. "I have created thousands of jobs,"
Leppert said. "We don't need someone who goes out and gives speeches about free enterprise, but send someone who has been out there and done those sorts of things."

David Dewhurst:
Less federal meddling on labor relations
Stop National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Over-reach - Prevent the NLRB from telling companies like Boeing which states to place manufacturing plants in.
- Stop the NLRB from interfering with private sector business decisions--end the
NRLB's trampling on the Constitution.
- More government overregulation, which is preventing jobs from being created.
Dewhurst Plan: Less NLRB Meddling, More Job Creation-
Insist on new leadership at the NLRB.
- Conduct tough hearings on NLRB decision making under President Obama, and investigate interference with private business decision-making.
-
End federally mandated prevailing wage regulations, which will serve to bring down the cost of building infrastructure--roads, dams, ports, bridges, etc.
- Accelerate the approval process for FAA upgrades.
